An honest status update: 19% funded, one week left in the cycle, and development paused until the goal is met. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed. Here's the full picture.
<p class="mb 2" I want to give you a straight picture of where things stand, because that's how I've run this platform from day one.</p <p class="mb 2" We're at 19% of this month's funding goal, with one week left in the cycle.</p <p class="mb 2" Before anything else: thank you to everyone who has already contributed this cycle. That 19% isn't an abstract number, it's real people who put real money behind this platform, and I don't take that lightly. The same goes for the TA+ supporters who've backed TinkerAtlas since the early days. You're the reason there's a platform to fund at all.</p <h2 class="font bold" Why development is paused</h2 <p class="mb 2" Last month, we didn't reach the goal. The practical consequence is that development on TinkerAtlas is currently stalled. There are features sitting half finished and others still on the roadmap that I want to build for you, but the funding cycle is what pays for the tools that make development possible in the first place.</p <p class="mb 2" To be clear about how the money works, because I think transparency matters here: every dollar that comes in goes to keeping the server running and funding the development tools. I don't take a personal income from TinkerAtlas. When the goal isn't met, the first thing that gets cut is development capacity. The lights stay on, but new features don't ship.</p <h2 class="font bold" What's waiting on the other side</h2 <p class="mb 2" If we hit the goal this month, development picks back up where it left off. That means finishing the features already in progress and getting back to the roadmap the community has been shaping.</p <p class="mb 2" This platform now has 434 members and dozens of registered creators. It exists because makers wanted a place built for makers, not for advertisers or investors. That model only works when the community carries it, and so far you have. We've come up short once. One month is a stumble, not a trend, and a week is plenty of time to turn this around.</p <h2 class="font bold" How to help</h2 <p class="mb 2" If TinkerAtlas is useful to you and you're in a position to chip in, here's where:</p <ul <li <p class="mb 2" <strong PayPal:</strong <a target=" blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="text blue 600 hover:text blue 800 dark:text blue 400 dark:hover:text blue 200 underline cursor pointer transition colors" href="https://paypal.me/makerviking" https://paypal.me/makerviking</a </p </li <li <p class="mb 2" <strong Ko fi:</strong <a target=" blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" class="text blue 600 hover:text blue 800 dark:text blue 400 dark:hover:text blue 200 underline cursor pointer transition colors" href="https://ko fi.com/tinkeratlas" https://ko fi.com/tinkeratlas</a </p </li </ul <p class="mb 2" Any amount moves the bar. And if money is tight, sharing this post or telling another maker about the platform genuinely helps too.</p <p class="mb 2" You can follow the funding bar on the site to watch progress. I'll post an update when the cycle closes, whichever way it goes.</p <p class="mb 2" There's one more reason this cycle matters to me: TinkerAtlas turns one year old early next month. I'd love to celebrate that first anniversary with development running again, not paused.</p <p class="mb 2" To everyone who has given, this month or any month: it matters more than you probably realize. Thank you.</p <p class="mb 2" Thomas</p
