Tomorrow TinkerAtlas turns one. Join the birthday stream on July 6th for a look back at year one, a look ahead at year two, and the surprises I've been saving for the day. Plus an honest word on where our funding stands going in.

Before the big day, I want to talk about two things: how we're celebrating, and where we honestly stand going into the birthday.</p <h2 class="font bold" The celebration</h2 <p class="mb 2" July 6th is the big day. I'm going live to look back at year one, talk about where year two is headed, and reveal the surprises I've been sitting on.</p <p class="mb 2" And I'll be honest, I'm biased, but I think these are genuinely good. They're the kind of thing I've wanted to build for a while, and getting to show them off on the anniversary feels right. I'm not spoiling anything here. The whole point is that you see them for the first time, live, with everyone else. To be on track to hit the goal by the deadline, we'd want to be around 50% by now. So we're behind pace, with a little under two weeks left to close the gap.</p <p class="mb 2" I'm not writing that to guilt anyone. I'm writing it because I'd rather you hear it straight from me than not hear it at all. TinkerAtlas has no ads and no investors. It runs on makers deciding, month after month, that this place is worth keeping online. That funding is what pays for the servers it lives on and the tools I use to keep building it. When we hit the goal, none of that is in question. When we're behind, it's the thing on my mind while I'm fixing digest emails at midnight.</p <p class="mb 2" The good news is that a month is not over at 15%, and this community has come from behind before.
