The maker community has always been generous. We share files, troubleshoot each other's prints, and celebrate wins together. That spirit is exactly what drove me to launch Print the Holidays on TinkerAtlas. This is our first official contest, and I wanted to do it right. The concept is simple: submit your best holiday themed 3D print, rally your fellow makers to vote, and compete for some genuinely great prizes. What's Up for GrabsLDO Motors stepped up as our prize sponsor, and they didn't hold back. We're looking at almost $1000 in total prizes between hardware and TinkerAtlas Supporter memberships. The voting winners walk away with LDO gear. First place gets a Jabberwocky Toolhead Kit worth $146. Second place takes home an Orbiter 2.5 Extruder at $63. There's also a Judges' Choice award, and whoever lands that gets an AWD CNC Kit for the 2.4 or Trident, valued at $150.Beyond the hardware, winners score TinkerAtlas Supporter memberships. First place and the Judges' Choice winner both receive Lifetime memberships. Second place gets a full year, third place gets six months, and everyone from fourth to tenth place still walks away with a month of Supporter status. I'm even throwing in a random voter prize, so just participating in the voting puts you in the draw. The Entries So FarThe variety coming in is exactly what I hoped for. We've got everything from a Christmas Vacation Advent Calendar to a Holiday Moopsy, Santa's Toy Factory builds, and multiple Star Wars themed holiday mashups. The Gingerbread Star Destroyer Kit is a standout, along with a Merry Christmas Charlie Brown piece and some creative ornaments. SBCreations brought Sonic into the mix with a festive speedster carrying gifts.New entries keep rolling in, and the leaderboard shifts daily as votes come in.How It WorksEntering is straightforward. Sign up on TinkerAtlas, upload your holiday themed 3D print, and you're in. Every member gets 3 votes per day to spread across entries they want to support. Sharing your entry helps drive visibility and votes.Submissions close at the end of December, with voting running through January 4th. After that, I'll announce community vote winners and the Judges' Choice pick. Why This MattersTinkerAtlas exists to give makers a dedicated space. Not an algorithm fighting against you, not a platform that treats your projects as background noise between ads. This contest is an extension of that mission. It's about celebrating what our community creates and actually rewarding the effort.LDO Motors understood that vision immediately and came on board with real prizes that matter to builders. That kind of support means everything when you're growing something from scratch.Get InvolvedWhether you've got a holiday print ready to show off or just want to support fellow makers with your votes, head over to tinkeratlas.com/contest. Every entry, every vote, and every share helps build momentum for both the contest and the platform.Let's see what the community can do.
