It's been a busy start to 2026 at TinkerAtlas, even if my immune system had other plans. I've spent most of the past week fighting off a nasty cold, but that hasn't stopped me from shipping. 48 commits in the first 12 days of the year, building features that make the platform better for everyone and laying the foundation for something I'm excited to share with you soon.A Better Chat ExperienceLet's start with something you'll notice immediately: the messaging system got a major overhaul. Conversations now behave the way you'd expect from modern chat apps. Messages anchor to the bottom, scrolling is smooth, and those annoying glitches where drafts wouldn't clear or the chat would jump around? Fixed. I'm still working on a few more improvements, but it already feels so much better.Contest System Gets a Proper Winners ShowcaseAfter the success of "Print the Holidays," I've expanded the contest system with a dedicated winners landing page. Judge's Choice awards now have their own spotlight, complete with entry images and detailed winner information.Something New for Maker StreamersHere's a tease: I've been building something specifically for the streaming side of our community. Think giveaway management with chat integration for both Twitch and YouTube, animated overlays for OBS, and a prize claiming system that actually works. It's been a passion project over the past week, and I can't wait to get it into streamers' hands. More details coming soon.Keeping Everyone SafeBehind the scenes, I've implemented proper age verification to ensure TinkerAtlas meets COPPA and GDPR requirements across different regions. It's not glamorous work, but it's essential as we grow. Every maker deserves a safe platform, regardless of where they are in the world.Daily Challenges ImprovementsSmall but meaningful: the Daily Challenges system got some attention with clearer descriptions. These little quality-of-life fixes add up.Bug Fixes and Community HelpBeyond new features, I've been squashing bugs across the platform. Shoutout to @Lostboy73 for putting together a list of issues he found. It's incredibly helpful when users report bugs, because it's hard for me to test every feature on the site each time I work on something. If you spot something that doesn't look right, hit the purple bug icon in the lower right corner. You're helping make TinkerAtlas better for everyone. Why Your Support MattersTinkerAtlas runs on passion and community support. We've grown to 343 users, and there's so much more I want to build for you.If you want to support the platform directly, TinkerAtlas+ subscriptions are the best way to do it. You can go monthly, yearly, or grab a lifetime membership. Speaking of lifetime: there's only one Early Bird spot left at $149 (regular price is $299). Once it's gone, it's gone.Every Ko-fi contribution and PayPal donation also helps keep the servers running and gives me the runway to keep building. If TinkerAtlas has brought value to your maker journey, whether through project documentation, connecting with other creators, or just having a dedicated space that gets what we do, consider supporting the platform. It makes a real difference.Thank you for being part of this.Thomas / MakerViking
