Originating in Alpine Folklore, Santa’s mysterious sidekick Krampus seeks out the misbehaved, bringing gifts of tricks & coal. I made a life-size 3d printed diorama demonstrating the lost meaning of Christmas and commercialization that begins far before other holidays. This project has been over a year in the making and is majorly supported by @Polymaker_3D, using 117kg of PLA (so far😜). Krampus is over 2m (7') tall, and the chimney is 2.54m (8'4") tall, 3m (10') wide. Total print time was about 5 months on 500mm & 1m cubed IDEX printers. Once printed I spent 6 weeks hand painting the entire diorama with acrylic paints to bring it to life. The incredibly well detailed models are part of even more complete The Curse of Krampus table top gaming campaign by Ember Smith Creative.
PLA, 2 and 3 walls, 5% adaptive cubic sparse infill, mostly 0.3mm layer heights.
